We worked with Javier because our real estate agent suggested him to us. During our home purchasing experience Javier said he needed my wife to return to work before he’d give us the loan (even though we provided a letter from her employer saying she has a position there after maternity leave). When we pushed the purchase date out to accommodate this request, he tried to charge us a higher interest rate since our rate lock would expire. We switched lenders with two weeks to go and got a lower interest rate and less closing costs. This was 5 years ago and I still feel emotional enough about it to write a review (upon Javier’s request for said review).
Javier required my wife on maternity leave to return to work before we could close on the house and get the loan. Even though we provided a letter from her employer saying she had a position there after maternity leave. We accommodated and moved out closing date back to when she’d finish maternity leave. Javier then tried to increase our interest rate, saying the move made our rate lock expire. We switched lenders 2 weeks before closing and paid less closing costs with a lower interest rate. That was 5 years ago but he emailed me asking for a review.

I was referred to Javier by our New Home Builder. As a result of such a poor experience we decided to use an outside lender. Javier then proceeded to share my personal financial information with the builders property manager in an email that was later forwarded to me cautioning them against my services.
